Who We Are
Sekoya is a long-term home for exceptional care entrepreneurs across Europe.
Our business concept is to acquire and develop leading companies within the Nordic and European care services market – businesses with the potential to deliver sustainable growth, strong cash flows, and lasting social value.
We are guided by a clear philosophy built on entrepreneurial autonomy, financial discipline, and a strongly decentralized organization. Decisions are made close to the user, ensuring that every service reflects local needs and realities.
With Nordic roots and European ambitions, Sekoya is building a group of outstanding companies united by one purpose: to improve people's everyday lives.
The Sekoya Model – Built Around Entrepreneurs
We believe great care companies thrive when led by founders who remain close to their mission and their teams.
Our decentralized model allows entrepreneurs to stay in control, while gaining access to capital, expertise, and a peer network designed to strengthen their growth journey.
Sekoya provides tailored support within finance, business intelligence, technology, and performance management — always available, never imposed.
We nurture collaboration and shared learning through initiatives such as Sekoya Camps, where leaders from across our group meet to exchange ideas and best practices.
Our Philosophy – Sell Your Company, Not Its Soul
A company's culture and identity are its most valuable assets. At Sekoya, we preserve what makes each business unique — its name, leadership, and way of working.
We act as a long-term partner and sounding board, providing guidance where needed while ensuring entrepreneurs retain full ownership of their local strategies and daily operations.
Growth Through Partnership
Our model combines the independence of small companies with the strength of a larger group.
Through selective acquisitions, shared insights, and disciplined capital allocation, we help each company grow sustainably — while keeping the entrepreneurial drive that made it successful.
The Sekoya Model
Governance
The Sekoya model is fully decentralized, giving local management complete responsibility and control over their companies.
Focus
We focus on creating innovative services and growth rather than cost savings.
Talent
Sekoya supports through our Playbook framework, which enables portfolio companies to share knowledge and experiences across different units.
Ownership
We encourage founders to remain in their companies and strive to create incentives for all key personnel.
We invest with a long-term perspective and encourage our portfolio companies to have a clear value proposition that genuinely creates value for society.
Sustainability and Social Impact
As long-term owners, we see sustainability as both a responsibility and a necessity.
We invest in companies that create lasting value for people and society — and we invest in making them future-ready for the long term.
Sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy and embedded in how we evaluate acquisitions, govern our group, and operate day to day.
Our long-term mindset runs through everything we do — from strategic priorities to local decisions made close to the user.
By acting responsibly and with care throughout the value chain, Sekoya builds trust with users, employees, and communities. We expect the same integrity from our partners and suppliers as we do from ourselves. Ethical conduct, fair working conditions, and environmental responsibility are not checkboxes; they are principles that define how we do business.
At Sekoya, sustainability is not a department — it is a way of leading, building, and caring for the future.
Our Journey
Sekoya was founded in 2020 with the ambition to build care services that enable a fulfilling life for everyone.
Our journey began with Medvind Assistanse AS, which quickly became a quality leader in user-controlled personal assistance (BPA) in Norway.
In 2023, we partnered with Viken Bo og Omsorg AS, a company built on strong values and a quality-first mindset. Within one year, the company doubled its revenue and strengthened profitability — a reflection of what autonomy paired with the right support can achieve.
In April 2026, we welcomed Avustajaklinikka OY of Helsinki, a specialist provider of personal assistance and our first step into Finland, built on the same belief in self-determination and local leadership.
Today, with more than 5,000 employees across Norway, Sweden and Finland, we continue to grow alongside exceptional entrepreneurs who share our mission to build sustainable, user-centered care services.
And this is only the beginning.
